Food Biotechnology Summer Camp for High School Students

The DNA Core Center and Food Science lab at DSU annually offer a Summer Food Biotechnology Camp. It offers high school students the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience at the college level in the Food Science Program at DSU. The week-long program takes place either virtually or in person in DSU’s Food Lab. Students will learn about topics such as: yeast as how it’s used to make ginger ale, the properties of food by making gummy bears and ice cream, and other fun experiments.
